Searching for inspiration. The Muppet movies area always a bit inspiring, but I find that the shorts Henson did for the Ed Sullivan show just work so much better for me.
So I promised myself that I would spend June-September working on some puppet shows I’ve been casually working on. The idea was to really sit down and plow through some puppet builds and some show writing. It’s the 12th of June and I haven’t even started. I would give excuses, but there aren’t any. I’m gonna spend as much time as possible making up for those 12 days. Here’s hoping I get at least one of the shows I’m working on off the ground. Wish me luck! I’ll be posting updates as often as possible!
The hands look a little lump and weird, but it’s just cuz I was moving the fingers around. Almost done…maybe.
I like to compare all my puppets to my first puppet. My monster is way big in comparison to this lil guy.
What is a head without a body? um…it’s a head, but here it is with a body. You know that part of a project where you can really see what exactly it is you’re doing? I’m there. The best feeling in the world.
Making progress on a puppet. It’s a little sloppy because I was just playing with the foam to make sure it fit the head….and it does! Woohoo! It’s a smaller puppet than I’m used to so I’m still uncertain about it…but we’ll see :-)
I’m starting another one of these crazy things. I have an awesome plan for it. We’ll see how it goes.
